Rub in the lampblack
Rub in the lampblack
Rub a little lampblack to a paste with some of the liquid, then add the rest of the solution a little at a time, rubbing all the while. Test it; if not black enough, repeat with more lampblack. For a pure jet black the lampblack can first be freed of its calcium phosphate with hydrochloric acid and washed.
