Cotton Padding: Hand-Carded Webs Layered into a Batt
Batting or wadding is the soft layer inside a quilt or a padded wrapping. Pick the seeds out of raw cotton, card it between hand cards until the fibres lie one way, and lay the thin webs on top of each other into a batt.
