Turned Round Mallet for Carving and Masonry
A carver's or mason's mallet is turned round, so it strikes the chisel the same way however it lies in the hand. Turn a bell-shaped head from a dense hardwood log, bore it for a handle, turn the handle and wedge it in. A heavier, larger head serves for stone.
