Wooden Brick Mould: a Bottomless Hardwood Frame with Handles
The brickmaker works kneaded clay into a mould of wood or iron, strikes off the excess, and delivers the brick onto the ground to dry. Make the mould as a bottomless hardwood frame, sized up for the clay's shrinkage, with a handle at each end.

Cut half-lap joints at the corners, fit the frame square, and bore through each joint for a dowel.

Drive dowels through the joints, trim them flush, round the handles with the rasp and oil the wood.
