Steel Cross Wedges for a Hammer Handle, Cut from Flat Bar
A hammer head is locked on its handle by a thin wooden wedge driven into a slot, then two small steel wedges driven crossways through it (madehow, Hammer). Here the two steel wedges are cut from mild steel flat bar and filed; the method and sizes are ours.
