Mud Plaster: Clay, Sand and Straw Trodden Together and Laid On

Mud plaster is clay to bind, sand for bulk and straw to hold it together and stop it cracking as it dries. Mix them with water by hand or by treading, lay it on the wall, and let it dry; add a second coat if needed. The picture: our diagram, a wall with its straw-filled mud coat.
