Shea Butter: Kernels Roasted, Ground, Churned and Boiled Out
Shea butter is the fat of the kernel of the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa). The kernels are crushed, roasted and ground to a thick paste, churned with water, and the butter that floats is boiled clear of water and filtered.
