Stainless Steel Sheet: Slab Hot-Rolled, Pickled, Cold-Rolled and Annealed

Stainless sheet starts as a cast slab. Hot-roll it to a coil about 3 mm thick, pickle the coil in acid to take off the scale, cold-roll it thinner in a Sendzimir mill, and anneal it in a protective atmosphere until the thickness and finish are right. The picture: our diagram of the route.
