Wooden Rake: a Toothed Hardwood Head on a Long Haft

A rake is a toothed bar fixed across a handle; the earliest had wooden tines on a wooden handle about 1.5 m long. Bore a hardwood head for a row of dowel tines, drive them in, and fix the head across a shaved pole with two braces. The picture: our diagram of the rake.
