Bone ash — primarily calcium phosphate (Ca₃(PO₄)₂) — produced by calcining cleaned animal bones at high temperature. A white powder used in bone china ceramics, cupellation (assaying precious metals), and as a phosphate source in fertiliser and chemical applications.
