A latex collection cup is a small vessel (typically ceramic, coconut shell, or plastic, 200-300 ml capacity) attached to the rubber tree trunk below the tapping cut. Liquid latex drips from the cut into the cup over 3-4 hours. The cup is emptied into a collection bucket during the daily round.
