Refractory bricks made from high-alumina or fire clay that withstand temperatures above 1,200 °C without cracking or deforming. Used to line forges, kilns, furnaces, and fireboxes. Insulating firebricks are lightweight and reduce heat loss; dense firebricks store heat and resist abrasion from slag and flux.
