Ferrite Toroid Core: Magnesium-Zinc Ferrite Reheated 18 h at 1000 °C and 20 h at 750 °C (Snoek 1948, Ex. III)
Snoek's magnesium-zinc ferrite ring (Example III), fired at 1400 °C and then given a second long treatment in oxygen: 18 hours at 1000 °C and 20 hours at 750 °C. He measured how its losses change with frequency, but gives no permeability for the reheated core.

Heat the ring in oxygen for 2 hours at 1400 °C and cool it slowly in oxygen at 5 to 10 °C per minute.

Heat the cooled core to 1000 °C and hold it there for 18 hours, then at 750 °C for 20 hours, and cool slowly again, all in oxygen. Snoek shows the resulting losses only as a curve; he gives no permeability for it.
