บั่นบื้อ (ban bue; also ba wue, luk wue, i wue) is a toy that roars "wue". It is made from a round, flat fruit such as a saba seed, or from hardwood hewn into a round disc, hollowed so it is light and sounds sweet.

Choose a saba seed or a similar fruit and bore 2 holes at the centre for the string. Bore a hole in the side with a knife and scoop out all the flesh inside.

Thread a thin, strong string about 50 cm long through the two holes in the seed.

Shave 2 grips sized for the fingers and tie one to each end of the string, so spinning it does not hurt the fingers.

Hold the grips and turn the seed towards you so the string winds into a twist, then pull in and out in rhythm; the saba seed spins and roars "wue".

It can be made from many round, flat fruits, or from hardwood hewn into a round disc. Take care with the knife when boring and hollowing.
