Glass Sample Vials: Tubing Closed Flat, with a Lip and a Cork

A vial is a small glass tube closed at one end, usually with a flat bottom where a test tube has a round one. A lip vial is closed with a cork. Work wide glass tubing in the flame as for test tubes, flatten the closed end on the marver, turn out a lip and fit a cork. The picture: a small old glass vial with its cork.
