Quebracho Extract: Heartwood Chips Boiled in Vats and Boiled Down
Quebracho extract is the tannin of the red quebracho tree of South America, a mild, fast tanning agent that gives leather a red-brown colour. Chip the heartwood, boil the chips in water, and boil the liquor down to a solid extract.
