Ruea Kap Maphrao (Coconut-Husk Sailboat) — a Flat-Bottomed, Pointed-Bow Hull of Coconut Husk, a Leaf Sail on a Bamboo Mast Set Amidships, and a Thin Bamboo Rudder; Raced on the Wind When the Waters Rise
เรือกาบมะพร้าว (ruea kap maphrao, coconut-husk boat) is a folk toy: a coconut husk is the hull, with a sail like a sailboat and a rudder so it sails with the wind. Children make them in the rainy season or the rice-planting season, when the rivers and canals run full.
This blueprint makes a real ruea kap maphrao following the source.
