Ruea Mai Sano (Rubber-Band Boat) — Two Dry 10-15 cm Sesbania Twigs Joined into a Triangle, a Rubber Band at the Stern and a 3-5 cm Bamboo Paddle; Wind the Rubber into a Twist and Release It in the Water

เรือไม้โสน (ruea mai sano; also ruea nang yang, rubber-band boat) is a children's toy that sails on water using a rubber band, bicycle inner tube or car inner tube stretched round a paddle and wound into a twist. Put in the water, the paddle turns and pushes the water, driving the boat. This blueprint makes a real ruea mai sano to the sizes in the source.

Hull

Break off two dry sesbania (sano) twigs as thick as a finger and about 10-15 cm long. Bring one end of each together in a triangle and push a sharp bamboo pin right through both at the corner to join them as the bow. At the stern, join the twigs with a shaved bamboo stick too.
