Strontium Carbonate: Powdered Celestine Boiled with Soda Solution (Thorpe 1912)

Celestine, the natural strontium sulphate, boiled with a solution of sodium carbonate turns into strontium carbonate, while the sulphate goes into the solution. Source: Thorpe, Dictionary of Applied Chemistry vol. 5 (1912), Strontium, after Trachsel (1886). Not given: amounts, strength or time; washing and drying are ours. Picture drawn by Youblob.
