Wao Bai Mai (Leaf Kite) — a Dried Tong Chat or Tong Kung Leaf with Two Front Bridle Lines and a Vetiver or Cogon-Grass Tail, or a Simple Geometric Frame Covered with Leaves Instead of Paper
ว่าวใบไม้ (wao bai mai) is a folk toy played mostly in northeastern Thailand. A dried leaf is the kite itself, or a frame is tied and covered with leaves instead of kite paper. It does not last long, but the material makes it striking.
This blueprint makes a real wao bai mai following the source.
Beginner
About 1 hour, not counting drying the leaves

**Limits** The source gives no sizes, no line length and no frame material (the materials it names are leaves and hemp string). The wording on tying the line, "about 3 sections", is not clear.
