Wooden Ruler, Graduated with a Caliper

A ruler is only as good as its marks. Here every mark is measured from the ruler's own end with a digital caliper, so errors do not add up as they would by stepping off one centimetre after another. A 150 mm caliper marks the first half; the second half is measured from the far end. Straight-grained hardwood stays straight.
