Used batik wax (malam lorodan) recovered from the fabric after dyeing by boiling the cloth in hot water. The reclaimed wax, while no longer suitable for fine detail work due to accumulated dye particles, can be recycled for coarser wax applications or background coverage in subsequent batik layers.
