Lime Water: Slaked Lime Stirred into Water and Filtered Clear
Lime water is a clear solution of calcium hydroxide in water. Only a little dissolves, about 1.5 g per litre, so stir in more slaked lime than that, let it stand, and filter off the milky excess. It is alkaline: keep it off skin and out of eyes.
