Ferrous Oxalate: Precipitated from Ferrous Sulphate with Oxalic Acid
Ferrous oxalate is a heavy yellow powder, almost insoluble in cold water. Thorpe's Dictionary (1913) makes it simply: mix ferrous sulphate with oxalic acid and it comes down. The made salt holds two molecules of water.
