Dried Pomegranate Rinds: the Peel Separated and Dried in the Shade

Dry pomegranate rind is an old dyestuff. In the dyeing study by Rajendran and others (2011) the rind alone was separated from the fruit and dried in the shade until completely dry; for their extracts they then ground it to powder. The picture: our own drawing.
