Cut kite paper 10 cm wide and 20 cm long. Fold it lengthwise, overlap the edges and glue them to make a long tube, and press it flat. Lay a trembler wire as long as the tube along its middle and cover it with patterned paper the whole length; let the glue dry. Lay the tube wire-side down, fold one end back over the tube, and insert dyed chicken feathers into the inside corners of that end on both sides. Glue the feathers and the end shut so no air escapes.

History and limits
History and limits
The lin mangkon is a Thai folk toy made of paper. Beware of the sharp wire ends.

**Limits** The source says to fold the tube "41 cm from its mouth", which is longer than the 20 cm tube, so no fold distance is given here. The trembler wire is linked to general craft wire, and there is no listing for kite paper, so it is named in the text.
