Linen Fabric Woven in Plain Weave on a Treadle Loom
Linen is cloth woven from flax fibre: very strong, absorbent, quick to dry and cool to the touch, and among the oldest textiles; Egyptian mummies were wrapped in it. Weave linen thread in plain weave on the treadle loom, each weft over one warp thread and under the next.
