Turned Tool Handle with an Axial Bore and Ferrule

Many tools take a wooden handle bored down its middle: a file or chisel tang, a shaft, or the threaded shank of a coping saw's blade holder, where turning the handle tensions the blade. Turn an ash handle, fit a ferrule so it does not split, and bore it straight down the axis. The picture: our diagram, the handle, its ferrule and the bore.
