Krachon — a Fine-Woven Bamboo Strainer with Long Handles to Rest Across a Pot, for Coconut Milk and Pla Ra
กระชอน (krachon) is an open-weave basketry tool, woven from fine bamboo strips crossed so as to leave small holes, stretched on a rim of bamboo, rattan or wood. It is made round or square, with long handles sticking out for resting it across the mouth of a pot or bowl, and for holding.
This blueprint makes a round krachon following the source.

History and limits
History and limits
Other name: takraeng. In Isan cooking coconut milk is little used, so the takraeng or krachon is used more for straining pla ra (fermented fish) liquid.

**Limits.** The source gives no size or weave pattern; the sizes in the model are examples. We use jute twine instead of rattan to bind the handles.
